Himanshu is currently working with IndusInd Bank Ltd. (one of India’s leading private sector banks) as the Head of Credit Advisory. He has worked on creation of asset underwriting frameworks, strategic transactions, complex/large credit transactions, credit/business strategy and policy formulations. He has been instrumental in setting up and running of the Sustainable Banking unit which is responsible for bank’s ESG- linked businesses, operations and risk management. His work at sustainable banking unit involves developing climate finance linked products, DFIs/multilateral partnerships, ESG risk evaluation, ESG/Climate Risk policy formulation and management, helping in the bank's pursuit of carbon neutrality, emission reductions, bank’s ESG ratings and disclosures.

He has over 20 years of experience in the banking sector having worked with organisations like Macquarie Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, and Societe Generale Bank across their investment banking, project finance, money markets and international banking divisions in India, Dubai, UAE and Sydney, Australia. He has financed and managed banking assets across various infrastructure sectors viz. power, roads, ports, air ports, city gas distribution, electricity distribution, power transmission, mining, renewable energy, railways/metros, water, sewage/waste treatment, smart cities & defence.

He holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. He completed his Post Graduate Diploma from the Fore School of Management and Business Economics (Hons.) from Delhi University. Himanshu has been a CAIA Charter holder since 2009 and he has also completed other certificate programs in Finance including certificate in ESG investing from CFA Institute. He helped the CAIA management team in establishing CAIA's India Chapter and he has been actively contributing to the Chapter ever since.
