Jeonghwan Lim has served as a global equity portfolio manager at Samsung Fire & Marine since 2017, where he oversees a diverse mandate encompassing both direct and indirect investment strategies.
Prior to joining the company, he spent five years as an equity fund manager at Tong Yang Asset Management and worked with a three-and-a-half-year tenure as an equity analyst at Korea Investment Securities.
Originally an equity analyst, he progressed into Korean equity fund management before evolving his scope to oversee global investment portfolios. His career is defined by a steady expansion from localized sector analysis to comprehensive global asset management.
His investment philosophy is rooted in fundamental, bottom-up analysis, with a particular focus on rigorous corporate modeling and valuation. He enhances his decision-making process by integrating insights from behavioral finance and investor psychology.
Beyond stock selection, he is engaged in top-down asset allocation, analyzing how equities interact within a broader macro framework that includes private equity, fixed income, and commodities.

Jeonghwan Lim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University. He is a CFA® charterholder and a CAIA® charterholder, and he actively contributes to the professional community as a volunteer for the CAIA Association.
