Dr. Kelsey Syvrud is a “pracademic”, acting as a finance lecturer as well as an investment professional, with a practice that bridges institutional portfolio management, private markets education, and wealth advisory for high-net-worth families. She teaches students how to use academic theory in hands-on portfolio construction and manager selection across public and private assets. She serves as Director of Investment Strategy at a multi-family office and RIA, where she leads manager due diligence, investment strategy, and model portfolio design across both public and private markets. In parallel, Kelsey runs the Wealth Management and Alternative Investment Programming at Florida State University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Business, developing programming that introduces students and practitioners to private markets and other non-traditional asset classes.
