Marco Calleja, CA, CAIA has been a CAIA member since 2010 and played an active role in the foundation of CAIA Cayman Islands.
Marco’s current role is a partner in EY’s Financial Services Office. Marco currently lives in the Cayman Islands and has over 20 years of experience of which the last 15 years he has been working with alternative investment managers, hedge funds, private equity, and wealth management clients. Marco is currently responsible for financial statement assurance engagements for multi-billion-dollar hedge fund complexes and emerging manager funds across a vast array of investment strategies investing in a wide spectrum of asset classes, private credit, and private equity, as well as working with investment managers’ organization control environments and SOC reporting. Marco is also leading assurance services for fintech and digital asset investment funds and advising clients on regulatory compliance, strategy consulting and hedge fund operational matters.

Marco graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majors in finance and accounting from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Marco also holds designations and licenses with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA).
