Mario Valverde is a Senior Principal, Institutional Business Development at Cerity Partners. Before joining Cerity Partners, he held senior institutional sales roles at BlackRock, State Street Global Advisors, and Nuveen (a TIAA company). In these positions, he was crucial in business development and client engagement across various institutional channels.
Mario also has experience in institutional marketing at OppenheimerFunds (now Invesco). Earlier in his career, he worked as a Product Strategist specializing in energy infrastructure investments, where he developed strategic solutions for investors. He began his career in sell-side investment research, gaining in-depth knowledge of financial markets and securities analysis.
Mario earned a B.S. in Finance and International Business from the NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations. Born in Mexico City and raised in Tijuana, Mario is living the American Dream.
