Michael Yeung, CAIA, is an experienced credit risk specialist with a background spanning investment‑grade credit research, counterparty risk management, and short‑term markets. Michael spent more than a decade at Russell Investments in Seattle, supporting the firm’s short‑term investments and derivatives trading activities. As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst and later Credit Risk Manager, he led issuer due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and exposure oversight across global financial institutions and corporates. He also managed a global team of credit risk analysts, coordinating coverage, elevating analytical standards, and ensuring consistent risk oversight across regions.
Earlier in his career, Michael was a senior investment analyst at GE Asset Management (now Genworth Financial), underwriting private placement debt transactions for insurance portfolios. He also held operational and analytical roles at GE Asset Management and GE Capital.
He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester and an M.B.A. in Finance and Management Strategy from Northwestern University.
