Nicolás Tobar Bavestrello, CFA, CAIA, currently serves as Head of Investments at Mis Inversiones (Del Río Family Office) in Santiago, Chile, managing a portfolio of financial and real assets. In this role, he leads relationships with US and European banks and asset managers, serves on investment committees, and drives strategies across private equity, real estate, venture capital, and co-investments.
In parallel, he works as an Assistant Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he teaches postgraduate courses, including “Investments in Alternative Assets,” “Trading and Capital Markets,” and an undergraduate course, “International Finance.”
He is also a Chapter Executive for the CAIA Association LatAm charter and is a member of the Board of Member Value for the CFA Society in Chile. He had several years of experience as VP and Head of Alternative Investments at Econsult Multifamily Office, where he advised annual commitments for more than 10 families.
Nicolás holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi (Private Equity concentration) and a Master of Science in Finance from PUC Chile.
