Peggy Scherer is a vice president at HSBC Mexico, focusing on working capital solutions in the area of Trade Finance of the Commercial Bank.
Previously Peggy has worked in the Credit Review area of HSBC Mexico focusing on improving credit processes. Prior to that, she has been in the market risk team and later in the investment and credit area of The Nomura Trust and Banking in Tokyo, Japan. Earlier in her career, she has been in several financial institutions in France, Luxembourg and Japan in the structuring, credit and risk areas.
Peggy graduated from the EM Lyon business school in France and later completed her education receiving an MSc in Quantitative Finance from the Paris I Sorbonne University.
Peggy is a CAIA charterholder since 2022 and a CFA charterholder since 2016. She serves as a Chapter Executive in Mexico for the CAIA LatAm Chapter.
