Pravin Rajendran is a seasoned investment professional with approximately 19 years of investment banking experience spanning investment advisory, investment management, investment research, business development and general management. He has invested in or advised on transactions totaling around USD 1.5 billion.
He currently serves as Director – South India at RBSA Advisors, a leading global investment bank. Previously, he was Director India for TH Global Capital, a UK-headquartered investment bank. Prior to that, he founded Doyen Advisory, a firm focused on M&A, structured debt and private equity advisory. Earlier, he was Vice President – M&A, Debt and PE Advisory at MAPE, a leading mid-market investment bank in India, where he led business development and investment advisory. Before that, he worked at the investment banking arm of the largest bank in the Middle East, focusing on sell-side research under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Goldman Sachs. Prior to that, he was on the buyside at a global, California-headquartered hedge fund that invested across 27 geographies. There, he built the India team from 10 to 100 highly qualified professionals and helped oversee the organisation as a member of the General Management Team.
Pravin holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He is a CFA Charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst), a CAIA Charterholder (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) and a FRM holder. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, a premier institution.
