Robert Nelson is a Principal on the Private Markets team at Mercer. In his role, Mr. Nelson primarily leads the sourcing, due diligence, and investment selection of North American buyout and growth equity primary funds. He also oversees Mercer’s strategic research on the North American private equity market and assists with sourcing and underwriting co-investment and secondary opportunities. Mr. Nelson joined Mercer through the acquisition of Summit Strategies Group, where he was a member of the Private Markets team. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Creighton University’s Heider College of Business, where he double-majored in Financial Analysis and Marketing, and has earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
