Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association Launches New Online Career Center

Press Releases

As alternative investment industry continues to grow around the world, new interactive job board will bring together targeted universe of employers and job seekers

AMHERST, MASS. (January 20, 2016) – The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association, a global leader in alternative investment education, has launched a new interactive job board, it was announced today. The CAIA Career Center provides CAIA Members and Candidates, alternative investment industry firms, and others in the field of alternative investments worldwide with an easy to use and highly targeted resource for making employment connections online.

“We are thrilled to be launching the CAIA Career Center as a means of helping our Members and other leaders in the alternatives space identify and pursue new opportunities and engage with new talent,” said William J. Kelly, CEO of CAIA. “Many of us at CAIA have a background in the alternative investment space as well, so we know how important it is for employers to be able to attract first-rate talent, and the connections we look to foster via the Center will be beneficial to both job seekers and employers.”

Employers can use CAIA’s Career Center to post jobs online, search for qualified candidates based on specific job criteria, and create an online resume agent to email qualified candidates daily. They also benefit from online reporting that provides job activity statistics.

Members and non-Members who are interested in finding new opportunities will be able to use the new tool as a free service that provides access to employers and jobs in the alternative investment industry around the world. In addition to posting their resumes, job seekers can browse and view available jobs based on their criteria and save those jobs for later review. Job seekers can also create a search agent to provide email notifications of jobs that match their respective criteria.

“The CAIA designation is a clear indicator to potential employers that a candidate has already demonstrated a high level of expertise across the alternative investment landscape,” said Sarah Auerbach, Director of Candidate and Member Relations with CAIA. “The mark of distinction that comes with achieving the CAIA Charter is therefore very meaningful for employers and job candidates alike, and we’re pleased to be bringing both groups together with our new Career Center.”

The CAIA Association offers the only credential focused on the alternative investment space and has become the global benchmark for alternative investment education. The CAIA Charter, an educational designation uniquely designed for individuals specializing in institutional-quality alternative investments, is granted upon successful completion of two levels of qualifying exams combined with relevant professional experience and joining the Association membership.

The Association now supports 23 global Chapters in financial centers around the world, including new Chapters in Cayman Islands, China, Australia and Texas, as well as in the form of a Virtual Chapter, that brings together members from far-flung locations in more than 60 countries. CAIA sponsors more than 120 educational and networking events each year and has 32 academic partnerships with leading universities, including 13 in the Americas, 10 in EMEA, and nine in Asia Pacific.
