CAIA Virtual Chapter presents Applying Artificial Intelligence in Private Equity

In this fireside chat, we connected with Michelle Seng Ah Lee and Fraser Robson of WovenLight Capital to discuss how private equity managers are incorporating artificial intelligence solutions into their portfolio companies. How does apply AI influence the due diligence and value proposition for new investments? What resources are needed to successfully implement AI tools? What skills do GPs need to successfully deploy AI solutions? Further, we dove into the ethics of AI and discuss areas GPs need to navigate to ensure appropriate use and positive application.

John is a Managing Director where he is responsible for leading the firm’s client solutions efforts in the Midwest U.S and Insurance Client Solutions team. In his role, John works closely with institutional clients to find creative solutions to access the private markets through commingled funds, customized managed solutions and strategic partnerships. Over his tenure with Hamilton Lane, John has held numerous roles including Head of Client Solutions in the Americas but has always remained committed to working with clients since his joining.

Is continuing education required for CAIA Members to maintain their membership status?

While the CAIA Association does not mandate Continuing Education (CE) to maintain membership status, we strongly believe in the value of lifelong learning for investment professionals. As stewards of the industry, we recommend that Members engage in 40 hours of professional development every two years to stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices.
