Tomoaki Minagawa, CFA, CAIA, is a Hedge Fund Investment Specialist with UBS Hedge Fund Solutions (HFS). Tomoaki is primarily responsible for overseeing the creation and distribution of investment content for clients and providing direct client portfolio management support on certain client relationships, as well as being a strategic liaison between HFS and Asset Management Japan. Prior to joining HFS in 2017, he was a Consultant Relationship Manager in Consultant Relationships at UBS AM (2015-2017).
Takuya is a Vice President and a member of Corporate Development team in Tokyo at Athene Life Re, which is part of Apollo, a high-growth, global alternative asset manager. He focuses on Athene’s corporate development strategies and reinsurance businesses in Japan.
Keisuke Ikeuchi is a Senior associate at Capital Dynamics, where he is working on the business development team.
Prior to joining to Capital Dynamics in 2020, he was an analyst at Eight Roads Ventures Japan.
He started his career at J.P. Morgan as an equity analyst, where he experienced electronic components sector and retail sector.
Asuka Maeda is Director, Portfolio Solutions, Willis Towers Watson. Previously she was Associate Director at the Specialist Portfolio Solutions team at WTW (formally known as Willis Towers Watson). She helps Japanese institutional investors build portfolios that seek to deliver differentiated investment outcomes, both from a return and risk perspective.

CAIA Member Greg Kaufmann and Duke Kim, Director of Institutional Client Solutions at The Giving Block, hosted the second part of an educational webcast around NFTs. In the first event, we covered investing in this emerging asset class. This second part was a practicum. We walked members through the process of transferring crypto from an exchange to a wallet and from there, we showed you how to buy an NFT.
I believe we can all agree that the professional world gets more and more complex every day. I think this is a wonderful thing as it pushes us to challenge ourselves to continuously adapt to these surrounding complexities. The same is true of the financial services and investment management industry. Nowadays, having an expertise in "mainstream" assets such as listed equity or bonds is no longer enough to bring added value to our clients.
