Adele Kohler Joins CAIA Association’s Leadership Team to Advance Member Impact and Regional Strategy in the Americas

AMHERST, MA, (August 11, 2025) – The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA) is proud to announce the appointment of Adele Kohler, CFA to its leadership team as its first Managing Director of the Americas. This newly created role is a timely and strategic addition tasked with accelerating the Association’s ambition to cultivate the most sought-after community of investment professionals dedicated to improving investment outcomes.

Adele Kohler, CFA, joined CAIA Association in 2025 as its first Managing Director of the Americas. She leads the Association’s efforts across Canada, the United States, and Latin America, some of the largest and most dynamic capital markets in the world, advancing CAIA’s Vision 2035 and helping to redefine what it means to be an investment professional in a world where everything is now an alternative.

Akimitsu Izaki, CFA, CAIA, CMA, Chapter Executive

Akimitsu Izaki is a senior director within the investor relations team at Capula Investment Japan Limited. Prior to joining Capula in June 2023, Akimitsu worked at PIMCO Japan Ltd from May 2014 where he was a senior vice president for nine years and was responsible for Japanese public and private pension clients, corporate treasuries and universities, as well as product coverage and business development for prospective clients. Preceding this role, from April 2006 to April 2014, Akimitsu was within the sales team at Mizuho Securities Ltd.

She is passionate about levelling the playing field of access to investing knowledge, and brings over a decade of experience in finance, including as an investment advisor at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and an institutional role at GQG Partners.

I initially studied Actuarial Sciences, which led me to join Mercer in 2013 as first employment, initially on their International Employee Benefits Practice, helping clients with their overall pension & benefits management (valuations, M&A,...) I had the opportunity to do so in multiple countries. In 2019, I had the opportunity to join the Investments Practice, first from an advisory standpoint, then joining the Solutions business that was created in 2020.
