Mario is an institutional salesperson covering pension plans for the iShares ETF platform. Prior, Mario was responsible for the sales effort within various institutional channels at State Street Global Advisors and at Nuveen (a TIAA company), while also having served in an institutional marketing capacity at OppenheimerFunds (now Invesco). Mario received a B.S. in finance and international business from NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

"A few years ago, I saw a huge emerging trend in Latin America, to include an alternative asset in Institutional and Private Wealth Clients’ portfolios. I wanted to participate actively in including that asset class within the portfolios that I was managing, however, at that moment, I felt I needed more expertise and background in order to analyze and take a more professional approach to the challenge.
