"After earning the CFA designation last year, I still wanted to go deeper in the subjects of real estate, structured products, hedge funds, private equity, among other financial special cases, which make part of my daily routine at work as a business development professional for an alternative asset manager. Since the CAIA curriculum addressed all that and also covered current topics as blockchain and financial market innovation, about which I am passionate and whose impact on our industry is still unclear, I made the decision to pursue the CAIA Charter.

"Three years ago I decided to complement my career initiating my studies for the CFA designation, which I finished successfully this year. I can certainly say that, when it comes to alternatives, all three levels of the CFA program were covered by the CAIA designation. Hence, having the CAIA charter beforehand helped to understand and assimilate all the content with a lot of confidence. Without any doubt, both designations are, in my opinion, a must have and very complementary.
