As Director of Client Relations at EQT Group, Eugene Hsieh, CAIA® serves as a consultant to RIAs, family offices, private banks, and other private wealth intermediaries on the subject of private markets and alternative investments.

He has gained broad experience over multiple asset classes and investment strategies during his time at Victory Capital, Natixis Investment Managers, and Putnam Investments where he served in similar roles. 

Adam C. Evans, CAIA, CIMA, Chapter Executive, Dallas

Adam began working in the investment field in 1992. Prior to joining Harrison Street Private Wealth, Adam was a Senior Vice President with Greenbacker Capital. Previously, he spent over seven years with Lazard Asset Management where he was a Director within their Financial Institutions Group. Prior to Lazard, Adam held business development roles with other firms, including Cushing Asset Management, TCW Investment Management and Calamos Investments. He has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Southern Methodist University and a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington.

“Shortly after receiving my CFA charter in 2017, I transitioned internally to the Hedge Fund Research Boutique at Mercer. Being relatively new to the hedge fund space, I wanted to find a way of deepening my knowledge of alternative investments as an asset class, given the rapid growth of non-traditional investments. Flicking through the books, I noticed that in addition to hedge funds, the curriculum also covered several other areas including private equity, real estate, and structured products.

CAIA Virtual Chapter Event - Sensation Seeking and Hedge Funds with Professor Stephen Brown

The CAIA Virtual Chapter hosted an event where Professor Stephen Brown presented from a paper he co-authored titled, "Sensation Seeking & Hedge Funds." In using a novel data set of automobile purchases by hedge fund managers, their paper exploits cross-sectional variation in vehicle attributes to investigate the effects of sensation seeking and investment behavior.
